Pulse generators

PetroMarker's technology operates with vertical component of the magnetic field and in time domain.

These two characteristics have dictated the design of the pulse generators: they had to be powerful and to be able to create square bipolar pulses with sharp ramp-ups and cut-offs.

The present pulse generators, Mk 2B models, deliver a stable out-put of 2,500 A.

The ramp-up time is under 100 ms while the cut-off time is under 10 ms.

The leakage current allowed is less than 20 ppm of the out-current while the maximum peak-to-peak ripples do not exceed 0.1 % of the out-put current.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The electric modules and the controlling electronics are housed in air-conditioned, water-cooled containers which can be shipped around at will.
