New receiver station put in service

Based on the offshore experience of the previous years, PetroMarker has developed a new tripod receiver station (Tripod Mk 3) which has better performances in terms of rigidity, noise floor and verticality. This new tripod was entirely designed, fabricated and tested in-house. A credit to PetroMarker’s technical teams.

Two types of Tripod Mk 3 have been produced:
-    A short version which is 3 m high
-    A standard version which is 10 m high

 

The new design ensures the verticality of the sensor antenna with an accuracy better than 0.1 degree.

These tripods will be shortly put in service during EM surveys to be carried on the Norwegian Continental Shelf in 2009.
PetroMarker holds a patent for the use of tripods as EM receiver stations and for their technology.
