Successful 2008 campaign

PetroMarker is about to conclude six months of very exciting ElectroMagnetic (EM) offshore exploration on the Norwegian Continental Shelf. With its equipment mobilized on board the vessels “Far Sovereign” and “Bourbon Pearl”, PetroMarker has investigated prospects located in the North Sea, the Norwegian Sea and the Barents Sea.

Client Discover Petroleum, together with StatoilHydro, Shell, Petro Canada, Gas de France, Norske and Aker Exploration have expressed their satisfaction for the results provided by Petromarker’s unique EM technology.

The 2008 campaign has so far encompassed prospects located in various areas presenting different geological configuration. More detailed information are proprietary to our customers. The water depths of the prospects range from 180 to 1280 m, demonstrating PetroMarker’s flexible capabilities.

“Bourbon Pearl” is presently operating from Hammerfest in North Norway.
She will complete her assignment by the middle of October.

Based on the convincing results from the 2008 campaign in Norway, PetroMarker has attracted the interest of several international oil majors and is in the final stage of securing its first contracts outside Norway.
