PetroMarker at EM 2009 Conference

PetroMarker will participate at the EM 2009 conference organized in Oslo the 27th and 28th of May 2009 by the Geological Society of Norway:

“Recent advances in interpretation of geophysical data 2009
EM – An Emerging Technology in Petroleum Exploration”  

PetroMarker will take this opportunity to present its marine EM technology based on the vertical electric component of the EM field and operating in the time domain.

The title of the paper is:

“TEMP-VEL, a different EM offshore exploration approach/technology. Case example from the Norwegian sea.”

TEMP-VEL stands for “Transient Electromagnetic Marine Prospecting – Vertical Electrical Lines”.

Although categorized under the generic term of CSEM, TEMP-VEL is markedly different from Seabed Logging (SBL) or frequency domain CSEM (fCSEM).

The paper will be presented by Eirik Grude Flekkøy, one of PetroMarker’s eminent professors who works with the R&D Department and the Geo Department. Eirik still held a position at the University of Oslo.
