Mobilization of new EM spread

M/V “Polarbjørn”, on charter from GC Rieber in Bergen, is being mobilized at the oil base Dusavik near Stavanger (Norway).

The vessel will be equipped with to Mk 2B pulsing system of 2 500 A capacity each. In addition to its standard receiver stations, PetroMarker will also mobilize the new tripod receiver stations (Tripod Mk 3) which have better performances in terms of rigidity, noise floor and verticality than the previous tripod design.

Prior to the commercial activity, and in agreement with Total Norge AS and the Norwegian Petroleum Directorate, PetroMarker will perform some equipment tests on a known location at Frigg field. The aim of this test is to demonstrate the quality of the new tripods.

M/V “Polarbjørn” will be used to carry out EM surveys in the North Sea, the Norwegian Sea and the Barents Sea.
