A basic TEMP-VEL® system consists in one vertical dipole deployed from the survey vessel and one or more vertical receiver stations placed on the sea-bed using the same vessel. The typical distance between receiver stations is 1 000 m

Vertical dipole or transmitter

The transmitter consists in a containerized pulse generator, and a launch & recovery A-frame for the pulse cables and electrodes.

Vertical receivers

The vertical receivers have evolved into the present tripod configuration which provides the high quality data required by the TEMP-VEL technology.
