PetroMarker’s theoretical and technological developments are complemented by a wealth of Norwegian and international experts in the electromagnetic field, some of them with more than 25 years of experience.

PetroMarker's offices are based in Stavanger (Norway), with workshop facilities at Dusavik NorSea offshore base. An inshore test facility is anchored in the Åmoyfjorden, Stavanger.

Now in its third year of operation (2008), PetroMarker’s workforce encompasses all activities from R&D, design and fabrication to tests and marine operations.

The methodologies used and patented by PetroMarker are in the time domain and markedly different from the frequency domain methodologies already in use. Marketed under the name of TEMP-VEL® (Transient ElectroMagnetic Prospecting with Vertical Electrical Lines) and TEMP-AEL® (Transient ElectroMagnetic Prospecting with Adjusted Electric Line), they provide deeper penetration and higher accuracy than previously experienced.
